2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use DermIOnline. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to suspend accounts found to be in violation of this requirement.
3. Nature of the Service
DermIOnline provides written dermatological assessments and recommendations based on photos and symptom information submitted by the patient. The service is intended to complement, not replace, in-person medical care.
This service is not for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please contact emergency services (112 / 144 in Switzerland) immediately.
Consultations are reviewed and responded to by a licensed Swiss dermatologist. The written response constitutes a professional medical opinion but does not establish an ongoing doctor–patient relationship beyond the scope of the individual consultation.
4. Fees and Payment
Each consultation is priced at CHF 69. Payment is processed securely via Stripe. The fee is due at the time of submission.
No refunds once submitted. Once a consultation has been submitted, the fee is non-refundable, as the dermatologist begins reviewing the case. If a case cannot be assessed for medical or technical reasons, we will contact you directly.
5. Patient Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about your skin condition.
- Upload clear, unmodified photos that accurately represent your condition.
- Not use this service for conditions requiring immediate in-person care.
- Not submit consultations on behalf of others without their explicit consent.
6. Medical Responsibility
The dermatologist is solely responsible for the content of the medical response provided. DermIOnline acts as a platform facilitating the connection between patient and doctor and does not exercise editorial control over medical assessments or recommendations.
Patients are responsible for following up with a local healthcare provider as needed, and for any decisions made based on the consultation response.
7. Limitation of Liability
DermIOnline shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this service. Our total liability is limited to the fee paid for the consultation in question.
We do not guarantee a specific diagnosis or treatment outcome. The written assessment is a professional opinion based solely on the information and photos provided.
8. Data Privacy
We process your personal and health data in accordance with Swiss law (DSG/nDSG) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). All data is stored on EU-based servers (Frankfurt, Germany). For full details, please review our Privacy Policy.
9. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by Swiss law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bern, Switzerland.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the service after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
